BACK IN DOWNTOWN NORFOLK

August 9, 2000:

Just a few days after the severe thunderstorm moved over Norfolk, another round of storms moved through.  This time they were not severe.  I ended up going back to the same parking garage that shot from several days before.  With the storm this time a little more to my south, it passed over Metro Machine, a ship yard here in Norfolk.  In the first photo, there was a person operating the large crane.  The bolt to the right appears to have passed right through the bracing cross bars of the crane.  Moments later, the operator stopped the crane and I could see the elevator taking them down to ground level.  Can't say I blame them!!  Camera and film: Minolta 35mm x370s and fuji film 200 iso.
