"GRATEFUL" FOR THE STORM

Mid August 2002:

There was a small group of storms that moved in over Norfolk and I headed to downtown Portsmouth to catch the show.  Near by at the Amphitheater the Grateful Dead was playing and every time a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, you could hear all the people in attendance yell out "Ohhh"...  There was cheering and clapping just like it was part of the show.  The first set of photos was behind the Portsmouth City Jail on the boardwalk looking right at Metro Machine Ship Yard.  I moved to the parking garage that I have had such great luck with due to rain starting to fall.  There was only several shots before the storm quickly died.  Camera and film:  Minolta x370s and Fuji Sensia slide film 100 ISO.
