ISOLATED STORMS AND LIGHTNING OVER NORFOLK, VA.

June 4, 2007

After the remains of what was Tropical Storm Barry moved through the area on Sunday, it seems that the weather pattern has changed and we are finally getting some rain and thunderstorms. We had a few storms develop early in the afternoon but nothing really to write home about. Later in the evening around 9pm, we had another line of storms move through and into Virginia Beach. Behind those storms were isolated cells popping all over the area and they were moving pretty much east-northeast. Several storms slid by me in all direction but nothing moved directly over me in Portsmouth. I managed to get two shots of a couple of bolts as most of what I was seeing was in cloud lightning.
